Examiner: New Payments Program starts soon

Image
CHANGES IN THE WIND Today,  Examiner sent out a message that changes to the site will impact future earnings.  The word and rumor has been out for a while that the earnings structure will change.   Whether the change will hurt earnings or not  remains to be seen. Taking a lesson from other writing sites that have done abrupt changes,  Examiner has extended the platform changes for  an additional month.  Examiner is has designed a new dashboard so that writers can preview and adjust actions to accomodate the new pay structure.   The change most likely to be well accepted is the advertising changes.  Popup ads that interfere with writing and checking  earnings -  should be a thing of the past.  The 'popups' and the 'popunders' are removed from the site to help improve readability for our audience.   Examiner is right... there is loud applause for the removal of popups by this writer.  No longer will subscribers a...

Sharing information and tips to increase earnings. Increase your passive, residual income. Guest bloggers welcome. Many of you know Susan G from her posts here, the great work she did redesigning this page and her fearless investigations into alternative writing sites.   Great artistic eye and a go getter.   The Tornado struck close to her home and while there is no word on her cats, Susan and husband are safe. Another writer many of you may know Amy Laine is safe also... the tornado striking close to her home also. Convoy of Hope is an amaz...

MOBILE OFFICE: Writer on the run

Image
'Mobile Writing' - the words strike fear into the heart of many writers. Is it possible to have a Mobile Office? Can you really write and produce with out a well set up office space at home? Recently we lost our year long fight with the banks and were forced to adapt to a streamlined version of our lives, an alternate universe so to speak. I have learned to have a 'mobile office' a portable version of my writing area at home. Writing on the run, takes a little more planning than writing from home. Just give me the logo "Have laptop - will travel" and I will be happy.  Downsizing has it advantages. Change forces one to look at alternative options. For instance, at home I had a horrible internet connection most of the time.  In the course of one year, I lost out on many opportunites because of dysfunctional computers, and sporadic "high speed" internet. The frustration and tension of whether I could finish an article was intense. Setting up a Mobile O...
