Looking for places to write? Well the usual suspects are still great choices, HubPages, Squidoo, Examiner, InfoBarrell, Constant Content, Skyword (Gather) and Demand Studios. Some alternative sites that aren't mentioned much, Trend Hunters, All Voices, Yahoo and Textbroker all seem to be still going strong.
While I have not had time to keep up with all the changes, I looked up a few website links that list the best places to write (current in Dec. 2012). The links are listed at the bottom of this post.
Check out the links and your input or other sites to write. Examiner for me is still a good choice for making money online in writing.. The pay is still based on Canadian and USA traffic only plus a bonus for using the Grab videos network videos. Referrers receive $50 and I will help anyone get started that uses my referral, you can apply directly at Examiner without a referral. You need an online resume of articles you have already published. Knowing AP Style is helpful in transitioning to Examiner.com. http://exm.nr/MK9S8c
Many friends are using Squidoo and a few are using HubPages, their own blogs and some have branched off into eBooks, Kindle books, and in print books. If you need some writing buddies check out Facebook's My Writing Buddies - which is a closed post group that is open to writers. My Facebook is Darla Hanger, feel free to message me anytime!
